trio was created as part of the Voiceworks collaborative project at Guildhall, where composers are paired with singers and writers to create a new work.

In this piece I wanted to involve the voice as an instrument within the three-person dynamic, rather than writing a song. The material is based on just two large chords, but which we are only ever able to hear different parts of through the small ensemble.
